RE: telescoping flag pole

Just bought a 24' fiberglass on Ebay, about 35.00,I like it real well, plus I like the idea of it NOT being aluminum in an electrical storm....

RE: long travel trailers?????

I pulled a 24'for about 8yrs.(2 different TTs) and bought a 29' thats 33 1/2' ball to bumper,it's a little harder to get leval in some of the CGs but not too bad,as far as towing, the rear wheels cut across the corner a lot more, you have to swing a little wider than with a short TT,so far no big issue yet.

RE: TT w/ Loft

There was a complete write up in Trailer Life Magazine about the Keystone Loft TT,they note that it is not advisable to be or leave it up in a heavy rain storm,I think it would be great for watching races of different sorts from, but mostly a novelty (JMO)

RE: F-350 SRW 6.8L V10 Up Date See last post

Have an '06 3valve 365hp V-10,Love it...pull a 7900lb. TT get 10-11 in PA.,15+ empty,I ordered it with part time 4X4 with hubs so that helps the milage and I'm a stick shift guy and ordered a 6spd.manual with 4.10 gears, for me it's a perfect combination of power, torque, value (1.00 cheaper a gallon)even the stick trucks have a tranny cooler in the rad.....Could not be happier with my V-10.

RE: "Smart charger" battery questions for TT please.

Oh...by the way,A friend of mine owned a battery plant for many years and there is NO truth to the story that setting a battery on concrete will kill it,I put them on a block of wood for years until he told me the truth!

RE: OK this has just gone to far

So, at what point do you say enough is enough and what action would you take ? Man that seems like a simple enough question... Don't it??? JJ I got a temporary solution,we can't be more than 20mis. apart (New Castle),even at 10mpg thats 8.00 up and 8.00 back to Butler,I got 5 acres and a case is 20 bucks,36.00 for the whole weekend ain't bad,and you can park anywhere you want,(no sewage sites)Lots of FREE FIREWOOD!At least maybe it will make you feel better for a little while......Jack

RE: Keystone Battery Problem?

Mine is an '08 and it has a fuseable link about 2' from the battery back along the frame. It's a brass strap that will melt through if it shorts out, don't know if yours has one there or not.

RE: Talk about a Bad Morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we stocked it with foods and miscellaneous kitchen item. Utensils, pots, pans, cleaning, shampoos. We had calvin klein sheet sets for the bedding. In the storage I had the sewer hoses, my equalizer hitch, hoses, adapters, lynx levelers and such. Little things that will add up once I find out what happend. I am sure state farm will step up being that I am a state farm agent. I hope they do not find it either and if found it is beyond repair. It would be a lot easier to buy a new one to try and fix the destruction.Sorry for your loss..I worked for State Farm for a lot of years,Good Co.,and as an agent I'm sure you know who to talk to to get something going quickly,I'm sure they will make it right for you,Good Luck

RE: Mr.Coffee 'cup police' puts an end to 5 cup pot!

I just bought a new 4-cup Mr. Coffee. AND it didn't come with a warning of their 'new' feature.:R For years I have filled up their 4 cup coffee pot with water up to the band and netted 5 cups out of their so called 4 cup coffee maker. Well Mr. Coffee's 'Cup Police' decided that they certainly can't have customers getting 5 cups of coffee out of their 4 cup maker. What they did was 'put a hole in the back of the coffee maker' so that if you even put 'one drop' of water more than 4 cups it....it pours out the back of the coffee maker like Niagra Falls!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v664/RVn05/80efc23c.gif rockC'mon Rock, run with the Big Dogs and get a 10 cup Mr.Coffee!(Then put 6 cups a water in it,nobody will tell...honest!)

RE: 5 feet high and rising

Just doing it nice and steady,(Not NASCAR pit stop style)The DW and I do it (close up the TT!)In 15 minutes, start to finish, and that includes hooking up to,we each have certain things we each do,and it goes really smooth,I always walk around it a couple times afterwards just to make sure everything is done.

RE: enclosed underbelly aerodynamics

This is a similar question like,if I put my T/gate down....Put a cap on...strap a canoe on the roof...buy an Airstream...will I get better mileage? Obviously the more aerodynamic the TV or the TT the better mileage but when you are moving a total of 15-20,000 lbs.down the road, the size of a small garage the mileage difference is going to be minimal at best. My TT is enclosed underneath, but it's just a corrugated piece of plastic "cardboard" weight difference on the closer panel would not be an issue. He is probably truthfull in the fact that it causes less drag, but mileage benefits might be stretching it a bit.

RE: Please Turn Down The Television!

Just for the record I don't have a dog and my kids are 27 and 34,and as far as I'm concerned a dog will be a dog,and if once in awhile he will let out a bark that doesn't bother me, kids will be kids, and they play, and if during "normal" hours they make a little noise, that's just being a kid....but when your dang dog barks all weekend, and your kids run around screaming in my campsite, you and I are going to have a problem!I contribute this anoyance to the parents and the dog owner that won't take responsibility for their animals or there kids! It's the stupid adults, not the dogs or the kids......is this politically correct???? Boy I sure hope not. Just my rant

RE: Just got Back

We were at our favorite CG this weekend and I comented to our camping group "It's a good thing the economy is good and fuel is cheap or this place would be empty!"Man it was packed...big to small every site, and we went down to office to make sure we had a spot for Labor Day...they were going fast..it aint dead yet!

RE: Running Lights not working

The running lights wire should be brown,ck.the plug to see if it's "hot" on both sides of the plug to isolate whether it's the TV or TT,could be a broken wire at or near the plug
